It is used as an organic additive in grinding cement clinker in cement production. It facilitates the grinding process by preventing the powder from being grounded and covered on the mill surface.

In the medical field, it is the active compound in lotions produced for ear diseases and infections, and in drops produced to treat earwax. It is also used in cosmetic products such as cleansing creams, eye gels, moisturizers, shampoos, shaving foams.

Triethanolamine acts as a pH stabilizer in many different industries.

It is used as an intermediate in petroleum demulsifiers. It is used as a catalyst for polyurethane resins in polymerizing agents. It takes part in rubber vulcanization triggers.

In addition, it is used in amateur photography and holography, ultrasonic tests, aluminum soldering.
