Butyl Glycol Ether (BGE) is used as a solvent in the surface coating industry. It lowers viscosity in alkyd resin varnishes. In water-based paints it acts as a property regulator, coalescent and flow improver. It is recommended for use in printing inks. Its content is 99% mass purity.
